Why hello there warmer temperatures, turning the thermostat off, showing off my Body Combat-formed shoulders. Goodbye boots, bulky layers and hibernation.
I’m a summer lover, and I honestly don’t care if we get a real spring, so long as we get to move into these warm, sunny days. However, Saturday is slated to be spring weather perfect for our run/walk on City Island in memory of my good friend, Jersey Mike. There’s two days full of events, so I do hope you’ll join us for part or all of it.
It’s been a long time since we had a girls’ wine night, so that’s what tonight is, and I’m looking forward to it.
On Friday, you should stop into The Speakeasy any time to get some pasta in memory of Jersey Mike and/or to carb-up for Saturday’s run. If you’re not doing that, perhaps I’ll see you at the State of the Brew-nion Address at The Vineyard at Hershey.
Also: Remember, even if you don’t run/walk/skip the 5K on Saturday, you are welcome to join us at Ceoltas’ Raftery Room & The Thatch for live music, raffle prizes — plus $3 Miller 64, 100% of which (and any tips) goes directly to the K+L Foundation, benefiting Mike’s kids.
