*UPDATE* The derecho will miss us, so I’m hoping to head out to The 1500 Condominium for Crawdaddy’s, Cocktails & Jazz. Then we’ll head home for a cozy evening watching Burn Notice. Stay safe today, everyone! I had plans for this evening, but odds are I’ll stay tucked at home away from the weather. Which is OK because there is plenty going on the rest of the weekend.
Saturday, as you know, is the sold-out Harrisburg Brewer’s Fest. I’ll be working the first session, pouring for a couple breweries like Lagunitas and Sierra Nevada. Stop by and say hi! Andy’s joining me for session 2, so we’ll get to sample — by then having ascertained the best brews of the day. I’m sure I’ll be tweeting, too — so you can follow along there.
Father’s Day is on Sunday! There are lots of options, including The Dauphin County Wine & Music Festival and a host of pig roasts, to choose from. As for my pops, I’m planning to take him to Midtown Scholar to check out WWII books, maybe get some coffee at Little Amps, then grab a snack on the rooftop deck at The Speakeasy.
